Amy's Closet is not only a consignment store, but a green environmentally sustainable business. Consignment stores allow us an opportunity to reuse not only clothing, but an array of other items that might normally just go in the trash filling up a landfill. They provide value through the creation of secondary markets in local communities. Signdealz primary customers are small business owners who are working every day to build a better life for themselves and their communities. We were glad Amy chose Signdealz to help her design and build her new illuminated LED channel letter set.

Amy's Closet Channel Letter Set from Signdealz

We started Amy's design based on what her shopping center would normally allow. In this case it was front lit channel letters. Amy wanted a script font that would set her apart from the other tenants in the shopping center as well as give her sign a little character. Normally at Signdealz, we do not suggest using script fonts, but given the number of letters and the contrast from the basic color of the wall, we agreed it would work well.

Things to consider when going with a script font for your sign

Script fonts may be beautiful, but consider they may be hard to see from longer distances. So you might want to check and see how far away you are from your primary traffic artery or entrance to your shopping center before considering the use of a script font. Have the designer do a design proof at the proposed distance from the street. This will at least give you an idea of what it might look like. Remember, the most important thing for small businesses is being seen and allowing your potiential customers the opportunity to come in and see you. Artistic characteristics of your sign should always be secondary.

When it came to most of the creative elements like colors, Amy drove the process and our desinger followed. The sign is simple, yet with the contrast of the simple building color, stands out.

How much would a channel letter sign like this cost?

A flush mounted channel letter set similar to this would cost between $2500 to $3500 depending on various factors like size and specific color options. Installation of a sign like this generally takes about 4 to 6 hours to install and wire properly. Signdealz always recommends customer have about $4000 to $5000 budgeted for an illuminated sign.
