Channel Letters From Signdealz - The Options

When considering Channel Letters from Signdealz.com, it's important to also consider the available options. Provided that your local sign code allows it, you can choose from a variety of effects... let's take a look at some:

Standard Channel Letters

A standard Channel Letter is fabricated from sheet metal, most often aluminum, since it will not rust. A flat sheet of aluminum is typically cut on a table by a router. This creates the back of the Channel Letter, and is the basis for the letter shape. The sides of the channel letter are called the "Returns". Returns are welded at the seam or flanged and riveted to the back to create a solid "can" in the shape of the letter. The Channel Letter can is painted and fitted with any lighting components necessary - such as Neon Tubing or LEDs. A translucent-plastic face (usually 3/16" thick Acrylic or Polycarbonate) is cut to fit the open face of the Channel Letter can. A Trim Cap border is applied to its edges which gives the Channel Letter a finished appearance.

Exposed Neon Channel Letters

These resemble standard letters, but without faces. This exposes the Neon inside, creating a dramatic look. This option only works with Neon.

Reverse-Lit Channel Letters

In this type of Channel Letter, the face of the letter is constructed from aluminum and the lighting is directed to the back. This light floods the wall that the letter is mounted to and creates a negative space at night. Letters in this style are also called "Halo Letters". Though slightly more expensive to fabricate, the finished look is leaps beyond any other form of Channel Letter.

No matter what style you choose, Channel Letters are a popular and effective method of advertising your business location. Call Signdealz for quote today!
