Sign Specialist

Description & Requirements

Signdealzis looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Signage Administrative Specialist to provide Code review support for all new and existing locations acrossSigndealzprojects. This person will be responsible for guiding our design team process which includes do the Sign Code reviews, supporting the PM team with City permit applications, reviewing construction drawings and sign renderings, and managing project files and other administrative tasks. They will work cross functionally and ensure each location is built to our client's standards. 

What we're looking for:

TheSignage Administrative Specialistplays a critical part in the success of the Project by ensuring that the Design, PM and Sales teams run their process smoothly.

This is a strategic opportunity for someonewho has the ability to drive impactful change in an organization. You must be a very detail-oriented person. 

What you'll accomplish:

  • Do Sign Code Reviews
  • Partner with Design, Sales, and other key stakeholders to provide direction in the early stages of the project for all new locations.
  • Attend and participate in weekly status calls with PM team, to discuss project status.
  • Work with Design and Sales team to coordinate site survey to ensure viability of the proposed location, including use, zoning, parking, regulatory requirements, design standards, etc.
  • Proactively manage and follow up on City permits from start to completion.
  • Responsible for providing updates on the permitting process and providing date changes to the team and Site Development to ensure reports are correctly up to date.
  • Organize, maintain, and manage project files that include items relating to construction, architecture and permitting.
  • Work with Design, Operations and other key stakeholders to manage and coordinate various projects supporting the PM team

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction or Project Management or related field.
  • Solid understanding of the construction and site development process.
  • Understanding of core architectural design concepts and practices.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem resolution to all areas of project development.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, while collaborating in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally and build solid internal and external relationships.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, ability to exercise independent judgment, and prioritize tasks and schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility and desire to work in a fast-paced and evolving organization.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Taking the initiative to understand the Signdealz offerings and pricing
  • Selling electric and outdoor digital signage solutions into Small and Medium Sized Businesses as well as large corporate accounts in your community.
  • Acquire new customers through direct sales techniques, cold calling and business-to-business marketing visits
  • Managing up to 30 to 40 opportunities effectively
  • Researching prospects and understanding competitor strengths and weaknesses.
  • Embracing and executing our process, which includes effective opportunity management through CRM software
  • Perform on site demonstrations using the Signdealz sales demonstration vehicle.

Education, Experience or Required Skills:

  • Proven ability to close opportunities greater than $50k.
  • Formal sales methodology & training experience a plus (Miller Heiman, Strategic, Spin, Relationship, Action Selling, Dale Carnegie, Black Belt Selling, Solution Selling, Sandler Sales, etc.)
  • Consistently leads his/her peers by example, by embodying the capabilities, motivation and drive to succeed of a top performer
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective selling strategies for enterprise customers.
  • Articulate; strong, polished verbal and written communication skills for corresponding with Executive-level prospects and business owners.
  • Organized and self-sufficient; proven to set goals and achieve them, self-motivated, and lead others via example.
  • Able to work effectively with other team members (sales engineers, lead gen team, management, services) to provide the best experience for the customer and the highest likelihood of successfully closing and implementing the deal.
  • Organized and self sufficient.
  • Willingness and initiative to learn and contribute to the team’s professional development.
  • Polished/professional presence for face-to-face meetings or trade shows.
  • 3 to 5 or more years proven sales experience, Electric Sign experience a Plus
  • Experience using various web-based CRM platforms
