City Consignment - Centennial Colorado
Our latest customer, City Consignment, needed a new channel letter sign and fast. The owner of City Consignment was changing the name of their store, and for legal reasons needed us to get him a new sign as quickly as possible. That just happened to be what Signdealz is all about. Great Electric Signs at Great Prices.
City Consignment is a affordable jewelry and clothing consignment store giving customers options for upscale clothing at great prices. You can find City Consignment at 7475 E Arapahoe Rd Unit 10 in Centennial or call them at (303) 741-8902. Here is the link to thier Yelp page as well: City Consignment on Yelp

The Signdealz Advantage: Design
Signdealz isn't chained down to a specific designer. We found out years ago our customers need to have multiple options and they need them quickly. Most sign companies in Denver, even the big guys have only one, maybe two designers in house. Why is that a bad thing? Well, you are often hinged to the skill sets of those in house designers. Not good. If you need someone with a specific skill like neon design, then they might be stretching to get the design done with your in house designer, or even worse, it might be structurally incorrect. The other issue tour competition is dealing with is all the overhead of having in house designers. We have relationships with many designers with many skill sets. We dont get backed up on design, we pick the right designer for your project.
The Signdealz Advantage: Price
Dont pay too much for your new sign! Believe me, it's easy to do. Signdealz has streamlined our entire organization with the only focus of bringing you the best possible signs at the lowest possible cost. We dont have expensive facilities, tons of employee's, no franchise fee's, just brokers who focus on finding the best wholesale sign builders. From North Carolina to California, from channel letters to interior signs, we look across the country to find the best sign builders capable of building great signs at low prices.

Channel Letters Pay for Themselves! Day or Night
Dont you wish every decision you made as a business owner payed for itself? When you go into business for yourself you are taking a lot of risk. It doesn't matter if your an expert in your field or a high school drop out, everyone takes risk when opening a business. There are so many things that can go wrong versus what can go right, but when it comes starting a business buying an electric sign, the only risk you take is going too small.
Our Customer - Colt Print Services

Colt Print Services, Inc. is a state-of-the-art short -to-medium run printer. They use both offset presses and the latest in color and black & white digital copiers. They have a complete graphics department, and a full in-house bindery and fulfillment services. If you need a good commercial printer, then call Jim.
You can find Colt Print Services on the web at http://www.coltprint.com/.
Colt Print Services has been in business since 1974 and finally decided they needed a new sign. Colt Print Services's logo logo was an easy conversion to an electric sign, especially channel letters. The channel letter style is a simple block font which makes it easy to fabricate. The only draw back was the color of their logo, blue. Blue has a tendency to blur out over long distances because it's a wide band light frequency.

However, since CPS was so close to the road, it wasn't a really big concern. From the image above, you can see how well the sign stands out during the day and the night. Channel letters provide the best and most cost effective way to generate more business and give you a more professional look at a reasonable cost.
What is the cost for a channel letter sign like this?
When pricing out your LED channel letter sign you need to think about what the sign should say. If your an established company like CPS, then going with your company name is ok. If you are a service provider like a barber or restaurant you should probably consider using a descriptive name like "Northside Barbers". This type of sign brands and tells what you do. A channel letter sign is priced by how may letters there are and how tall they are. The bigger the letter the more expensive the sign. There are other cost factors like if the sign uses a raceway or wireway. This is what the letters are mounted to like in the picture above. The raceway contains the LED Channel Letter power supply and wiring. Raceways are generally priced at around $55 dollars a linear foot. Signdealz channel letters are priced out at $15 a vertical inch per letter. A typical channel letter sign will cost between $2800 to $5500 dollars, depending on colors and features.
Call Signdealz.com for any questions you may have on your channel letter sign needs!

Denver Routed and Dimensional Signs

Different customers have different needs. Some of our customers seem to have an unlimited budget, and some customer squeeze every penny. Signdealz understands the challenges every business faces during these uncertain times, and because of this we offer numerous ways to produce your sign or awning.

Global Collision, one of Denver's leading providers of collision repair service, chose Signdealz as it's vendor to produce their new store front sign at 4790 Independence drive, in Wheat Ridge. Global Collision has 9 locations in the Denver Metro area and provides collision services on nearly all makes and models of cars and trucks. You can find them on the web at: www.globalcollision.com or at their google place page
Even though Global Collision has nine location and does an immense business as one of the leaders in the collision industry in Colorado, they still want solutions that are cost effective and still get the job done. Dimensional letters are the type of sign that look great and don't break the bank. Usually Signdealz dimensional letters are manufactured from acrylic or aluminum, but can be made from bronze, steel, foam, or PVC (plastic).
Why are they called Dimensional Letters?
Dimensional letters have thickness, or as we in the sign industry say, "dimension". Dimensional letters usually come in 3/8", 1/4", and 1/2" thickness, but can be as thick as 3". A good dimensional letters provides enough space for a nice drop shadow to accent the letter.
Dimensional letters can be mounted a variety of ways. When Signdealz was performing the installation of the Global collision sign, we were presented with a wall that had an uneven surface. To be able to mount the designed sign, we had to fabricated a set of bars that held the letters to to the wall. This allowed us to present the entire set on an even plane. We then bolted each letter to the mounting bar, and then mounted the bar using toggles to the wall. However, dimensional letters can be mounted using:
- Pin Mount Method - tapping each letter with hole and mounting pins into the back of the letter. This method is great for larger letters that have significant weight and/or the wall surfaces is uneven or curved.
- Double Stick Tape Method - Placing double stick tap on the back of each letter. This method is good when mounting to smooth surfaces and using light letters.
To find out more about individual or dimensional letters follow our link below. We have a lot of great ideas for you:

Signdealz just finished another great client, Becoming Mothers in Boulder Colorado. Who is becomming mothers? You can find Becoming Mothers in the Village Shopping Center off Arapahoe Ave. and Folsom, near Muguckins in Boulder CO. You can find them on the web at : http://www.becomingmothers.com/ or their google place page at: http://maps.google.com/maps/place?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=becoming+mothers&fb=1&gl=us&hq=becoming+mothers&hnear=0x876b8d4e278dafd3:0xc8393b7ca01b8058,Boulder,+CO&cid=8491853240619238020&ei=6dkkT6y7I4jRiAKltpTcBw&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=placepage-link&resnum=1&ved=0CDsQ4gkwAA
What was our client looking for?
Becomming mothers had a horribly old neon sign that said Maternity. What was the problem? The sign wasn't really conveying the message Becoming Mothers was really looking for. Stephanie, the owner of Becomming Mothers asked Signdealz to come up with a new concept sign that both illustrated the unique brand as well as the message the brand conveyed. Through 3 revisions, we finally came up with the finished design. The green Channel Letters, lighted with LED's really allowed the sign to stand out from the organge back ground. The unique heart design also blasts color out in all directions.

Signdealz Finished Restoring the Roxy Theatre on 2525 Welton in Denver
Signdealz.com was recently tasked with re-vamping the old (and outdated) Roxy Theater marquee sign. The Roxy Theatre was the first African American segregated theater in Denver and was built in the 1920's. It's an important landmark for those living in the 5 Points area and over the years had become a serious sign of blight on Welton St. Owned by cousins Investments, Pati Cantrell contacted Signdealz hoping to find a sign company that was up to the task of restoring the theater on a budget. Signdealz has restored over 5 historical marquee signs in the Denver/Boulder area, and had the specific knowledge required to get the theater back to it's former glory.
The Roxy was no pretty lady!
Since the 1920's, the sign has been through about 4 seperate upgrades. I like to call them downgrades based on what had been done. The original neon tubing had been pulled out, and replaced with florecent tubing in the 1960's. When that system of back lighting went out, the old system of lighting was replaced with residental fixtures. The original acrylic panels used to hold the lettering was also long gone and had been replaced with complete sheets of acrylic. The theatre had been painted about 20 times, which ended up being a good thing, otherwise it might have re-used to the ground.
The old marquee portion needed to be completely replaced, and possibly back-lit with new illumination. For this sign to be efficient again, we were going to need to get our hands dirty!
We started with the marquee faces. We had to start from scratch and come up with a completely new design that would work. Originally, a marquee like this would use Snap Lock letters held in place We constructed an aluminum bracket system and separate marquee panels to slide into the brackets. We then installed white LED modules within the sign to back-light the panels. Before we could install the new faces, we needed to give the body of the sign a revamp. This began with refurbishing the existing light sockets - which was much harder than it sounds! After some surface repair and a new coat of black paint, the sign was ready for new faces!

Finally, some new bulbs and routed-acrylic letters gave the sign a finished appearance. When the job was done, the difference in appearance was phenomenal!

Electric Signage and Marketing in Todays economy
In today's marketplace, advertising is everything! For a marketing strategy to be effective, it has to be successful in a few key areas:
First, your advertising should represent your business. This is where branding comes in. Your branding consists of not only your logo, but your color scheme, choice fonts, tag lines, and anything else you use to represent your business in the marketplace. Your branding should be cohesive across the board: Your sign should match your vehicle graphics, and your vehicle graphics should match your company letterhead, business cards, and website. It's important to have a professional image that can be recognized!

Reaching Your Customers with Signs
Second, your advertising resources should effectively reach your customers. For instance, if your business has a big presence on the road (freight, delivery services, plumbing, electrical, ect), you should focus on mobile-advertising, like vehicle graphics. If most of your business occurs in the storefront, you should probably focus on your exterior signage, and explore the possibilities of an LED Display or Channel Letter package. You could also enhance the interior of your business by going with a set of wall-mounted dimensional letters. Special attention should be paid to your methods of advertising - through the eyes of the customer!

Set yourself apart using SIGNS
Lastly, how does your advertising set you apart from the competition? More importantly, how unique and eye-catching is your advertising? Think about all the times, you as a consumer, were seduced by an effective method of advertising: The billboard depicting a coffee drink that you just HAD to try... the sexy supermodel sporting the next addition to your closet... 3 extra blades for a closer shave... a free trial offer? Sold! Effective advertising should appeal to the mind of the customer.

Signdealz.com specializes in large-format advertising, such as LED Displays, Message Centers, Illuminated Signs, Channel Letters, Billboards, and much more! In need of branding? Signdealz.com designers can help! Give us a call today or fill out our convenient web form!

A Few Things To Consider When Purchasing an Electrical Sign
There's a lot to consider when purchasing an illuminated sign. Electrical signage can be relatively expensive, so you want to be certain you're getting the most for your dollar. This starts with design: The overall appearance of your sign should convey a sense of professionalism, while still drawing attention to your business. It should compliment the local color scheme, and adhere to existing sign codes enforced by the property management. Your sign should be unique and eye-catching, not an ugly eye-sore!

Second, let's talk about quality. A sign can look great when it's newly-fabricated, but will it hold up to time and the elements? A professional illuminated sign will be constructed of high-quality aluminum and sign-grade plastics, and should feature UL-listed electrical components. If the sign is going to be exposed to lengthly periods of intense sun, a UV-protective coating should be applied to the outside surfaces. For protection against water exposure, a silicone sealant should be applied to the inner seams of the sign, and the wiring should have a shielded plastic sleeve or conduit. All of these elements work together to make a quality sign that will last for years.

Now let's move on to installation and service. If you're going to be having your electrical sign installed, it needs to be by a licenced sign company. This means the people installing your sign will be insured, knowledgable professionals. It also means the sign will have a permit. Always make sure your sign is being installed by a licenced professional! Also, you want to be sure you're working with a sign company that offers reliable service. If you're investing in an outdoor LED display, you want to know that you can call someone if anything goes wrong! If you call someone to come fix your sign, are they going to leave you waiting for days? You run a business... you don't have days! Reliable service is an important thing to look for in a sign company.

Signdealz.com has been producing quality signs for decades... we specialize in electrical signs, LED displays, channel letters, sign cabinets, and much more! We're the sign experts! Give us a call today or fill out our web form for a quote on a great sign!

Look to Signdealz for quality shopping center signs

Shopping Center Sign Options:
Here at Signdealz we really do our best to try to educate the new business owner in how to make an informed decision when it comes to on premise advertising. There are so many advertising options for your new sign, from illuminated channel letters to non-illuminated dimensional letters. This article will help you understand how to choose your new sign from the execution of your lease to the installation of your new sign.
Sign Programs:
Shopping Center Signs Most modern shopping centers are required to develop a master document upon construction called a sign plan. This document details the design standards negotiated with the city government for the shopping center or strip mall. Sign type, length, square footage, illumination type, and materials used for construction are often detailed throughout the document. You often see property managers who take over a shopping center rewrite sign criteria as the development gets updated.
Sign Permits:
Example Sign Permit - Boulder CO
In most parts of the country, it's impossible to get a sign installed without a permit. What is a sign permit? It ensures that the regulations the city or state municipality are followed.Sign permits have an application that need to be filled out by the sign contractor, and included in the application is often a drawing detailing the sign specifications, color, location, and land lord approval. Most municipalities process sign permit applications in 2 to 14 business days. Signdealz charges $195 to process sign permits in most municipalities. This can change depending on the complexity of the permit process. Awnings can have a very complex permit process.
In part 2 we will go over the different types of shopping center signs and thier application.
